Entry requirements
Minimum second-class Honours degree in computer science, software engineering or computing and mathematics.

Aims
Allow maximum flexibility in the topics studied.
Students to work within a research-led environment with the emphasis on leading-edge techniques in computer science and software engineering.

Computer Programming (Java)
Software Analysis and Design (UML)
Advanced Research Topics
Collaborative Group Research Project (Darwin)
run within the framework of a research team managed by an academic
Individual Project (June–September) in industrial or academic environment.
Teaching
Lectures
tutorials and group work
Students participate in a research project led by an academic.
Assessment
Formal examination and coursework (some modules are assessed by coursework only).

Advanced Software Engineering - MSc (Eng)
Accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS) for exemption from the Professional Graduate Diploma and PGD Project components of their professional examinations.
